"A picture is worth a thousand words"

Photographs fascinate me, especially those of people "lost" in time. You can find thousands of "unknown" photographs online and boxes of them at any antique shop. These "were" people's stories in a single picture. Today anyone can have thousands if not millions of digital photographs, back in time a single photograph might be all that is left of someone's entire life.

In this blog I want to bring back these "lost" life's in the form of their picture frozen in time.  A photograph of "lost" lifes are images for those who have no voice. Perhaps someone may recognize them? Until then they are there starring back at us forever.

My interest in photographs started back in the 60's when I was a child and my Dad bought a complete camera kit at the Jewelry store in Joplin Mo. it was an Argus.

Because of this purchase we have hundreds of picture of "us" kids and Mom. Dad is not in many of the pictures for he was always taking the picture. When I became a teenager "us" kids took the camera and photographed each other. I had 5 brother and sister's so lots of  pictures! All our pictures were taken outside due to the mere fact that this camera system back then costed a lot of money to use a flash attachment and the flash bulbs were expensive! One bulb took one picture! I think a dozen bulbs cost around $5-$10. Also you had development and processing costs.

On Christmas when I was thirteen I got a Polaroid Swinger Camera. Advance technology for the time!
